Subproject names

Postby sprucely » Tue Mar 23, 2010 10:06 pm

Any interest in naming the various COSA subprojects? I'm rather fond of musical terms. The operating system could be called "Concertos", and the development environment in which components are visually composed, "Composer" \, and the VM, "Conductor"

CDL - Score.
Standard library - Anthem.

If we accept this naming convention, then I'm sure C# would be a fitting language for the reference implementation ;P

Hm, since there's another project called COSA out there in the wild, I guess we could (just in case) think for an alternative name for "our" COSA, maybe also something music-related.

I like the sound of this music. I'll see if I can set those names for a vote in the next few days. :D

I don't like the names "low level component" and "high level component". They're long, verbose, kind of uncool.

How about "base component" or "core component" for LLC? I'm not sure how about HLCs, though. Any suggestions?

How about "composite component"? Oh, maybe not, because then you have the cc and the cc.
